Fields Obtains Verdict for Less Than Amount Offered Before Trial
Stephen Fields tried an automobile accident case in St. Louis County Circuit Court. Fault was admitted on behalf of his client, and the issue was damages. Plaintiff claimed to have suffered injury to his back as a result of a rear-end collision. The medical bills totaled over $5,000.00. Photographs showed no damage to the vehicles. The jury awarded Plaintiff $1,200.00. The defense had filed an Offer of Judgment of $1,300.00, and therefore his client is entitled to court costs.
