Unanimous Defense Verdict Secured in St. Louis County Trial
Bridgette Fu obtained a unanimous defense verdict in a three-day trial in St. Louis County, MO where the plaintiff claimed she suffered a compression fracture after a branch fell 80 feet from the top of a tree and struck her on her while walking across her front sidewalk. The defense argued that even though their arborist pruned the tree a few weeks before the injury, the branch fell because of a hidden defect that could not be seen from below. The jury deliberated over lunch and returned a unanimous defense verdict.
